Wishing you a wonderful Earth Week 2024! Earth Day is this Monday, April 22, 2024, but celebrations have already begun. Don't miss out! Here are some great ways to celebrate our GreenEarth on this 54th anniversary of Earth Day*.

Want more lead time? Plan a cleanup for National Cleanup Day, September 24, 2024. Here are some resources for that.
Sign the Global Plastics Treaty Petition asking leaders of governments to address plastic pollution and make a plan to mitigate it. According to Forbes, this signed treaty will be presented at the fourth session of the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee at the end of this month.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 9am-11am, volunteer with your family at the Greenway Foundation for Family Spring South Platte Stewardship Day for trash pickup, crafts and activities.

You could also just grab a bag and clean up trash in your neighborhood without any fanfare.

Bike to work. Consider walking or biking to work or school this week, or any day you can, and (safely) picking up litter while you're at it. What sustainable practice can you implement into your daily life to help combat climate change? Then spread the word and share your enthusiasm with your friends, and even with the world on your social media profiles.

Last year's Curtis Park neighborhood cleanup, organized by Protect Our Rivers, kicked off Earth Day week. Much of the litter you see ends up in our waterways when rain and wind carries it into storm drains, streams and rivers.
